This would make life a lot easier instead of having to use spaces. Would also be a major help for lists.

Yes, this would be very very useful. They need to implement some kind of scope navigator as well, so we don't end up with the same problems that Microsoft Word has, where it's trying to always guess whether you wanted a sub-list within a list. Sometimes it would restart the numbering and they only way to fix it was to re-create the top-most level of the list and then copy/paste the sub-list within it.

This would be really useful to make documents more readable where you don't want to use a list to create an indent.
